Whether you make the intrepid climb up to the castle from the River Moselle through leafy deciduous forest or ‘storm’ the walls at a more leisurely pace from the adjacent coach park, when you step under the castle gate tower you step back in time.
Horns are blown and the lord of the castle himself invites his guests to take a refreshing welcome sip of drink on their arrival. After learning so much about castle life, it’s time for some sustenance. At the lord’s buffet in the festively decorated great hall time travellers can still their hunger pangs with crispy chicken drumsticks from the grill or choice cuts of the domestic pig.
