Join the throng of noble lords and ladies who have been the privileged guests of the Ehrenburg over the past 850 years. In keeping with an ancient tradition guests of the castle still enjoy the protection and hospitality of the proud knights of Ehrenberg.
The mighty walls of this time-honoured edifice house our thirteen castle chambers. Here, you can experience the delights of the courtly Middle Ages with all the mod cons – including a hot shower and modern heating system. With each themed room sporting the name of a prominent mediaeval contemporary – from Hildegard of Bingen to Leonardo da Vinci – you can live your dream as a travelling merchant, pilgrim or even a noble knight from the ‘dark ages’.
Each room has its own individual historical flair – yet this doesn’t mean that you have to do without the comforts of a hot shower and central heating! A bowl of fresh fruit and a bottle of mineral water are also provided by way of welcome. Please inform us when you book if you are travelling with a dog or similar animal so that we can also provide your four-legged friend with a suitable beverage. Feel like a traveller from the distant past for the night when you lay your head on a soft pillow high up above the dense, breathtakingly steep forest of the Ehrbach Valley.
You can then start the new day at your leisure over a full buffet breakfast with coffee, tea or hot chocolate, freshly baked rolls and crusty mill bread, sausage and ham, cheese and jam, delicious scrambled eggs with herbs, quark, cereals and a selection of fruit juices.
