Unforgettable

An Ehrenburg wedding

Registrar Rolf Görres would be happy to fulfil a very special wish: you can be married in a civil ceremony in the ancient vaults of the upper ward or in the great hall – just like a knight asking for the hand of his noble lady. In fine summer weather you can celebrate your marriage out in the open air on the high balcony or great bastion or in a splendid pavilion. A church wedding is also possible on consultation with the local parishes. We would be happy to reserve St Michael’s Chapel in the idyllic neighbouring village of Alken on the River Moselle for your wedding.

Our suggested menu:

From gentle background music to a rousing mediaeval banquet, together with our exclusive actors, musicians and jugglers we will provide your festivities with an appropriate cultural backdrop – just as you wish.

We attach great importance to giving you an entertaining performance, enabling your guests to enjoy an absolutely unique evening. Our artistes are of course suitably dressed in period costume and perform on replica original instruments.

Adventurous tour of the wards and towers of the Ehrenburg by torchlight with our castle herald. On request we will serve a nightcap out under the stars at the end of the tour.

10 pm
Dessert buffet (see the menu)
The dancing begins – with your own music from a laptop, with a DJ, jukebox or live band, for example. The choice is yours!

Open end

In the summer (May to October) our castle hotel has 55–60 beds (including accommodation in our mediaeval tent). Should you require more accommodation for your event, we would be happy to put you in touch with our partner hotels in the region, such as Moselhotel Peifer in Brodenbach or Bellevue Rheinhotel in Boppard.
